There are encounters in life that last only a moment, yet leave a mark on the heart for years to come. The poem "For Kerstin" was born from painful memories of a German hospital, where fate crossed my path with a girl trapped in the abyss of her own inner hell. Although I was facing my own separation and lost illusions at the time, her cry of agony stirred the purest empathy within me. Doctors of souls fought for her tomorrow, and I could only capture this quiet drama in the stanzas of a poem. Today, years later, I share this story with the hope that every wound in life ultimately needs time, love, and forgiveness to heal completely.
For Kerstin
don’t cry out my dear
it is only a wound
inflicted by life
it is only a wound
inflicted by life
look up into the blue
where you direct your cry
in such agony
where you direct your cry
in such agony
an angel stretches out
their hands to you
to help tear you
from the abyss of hell
their hands to you
to help tear you
from the abyss of hell
how deeply I was charmed by
your love for him
and the faith that your wound
would heal very soon
your love for him
and the faith that your wound
would heal very soon
and now you drown
your thoughts in vodka
to forget the cry
if only for a moment Il Silenzio
your thoughts in vodka
to forget the cry
if only for a moment Il Silenzio

Lekarze dusz walczyli o jej jutro, a ja mogłam jedynie uwiecznić ten cichy dramat w strofach wiersza.
do ciebie ręce
by pomóc wyrwać
cię z czeluści piekła
jakże urzekła mnie
twoja miłość do niego
i wiara że rana twa
zabliźni się wkrótce
a teraz zanurzasz
swe myśli w wódce
by choć na chwilę
zapomnieć o krzyku
